Happy Mother's Day!

I had a pretty good Mother's Day. I got to sleep in. I ordered some scrapbooking stuff. My daughter got me 3 York peppermint patties :) My son got me Mario Kart for the Wii. I think he was really buying something he wanted :) Its very fun but kind of difficult to get use to. The hubby bought me a new printer! Unfortunatly it was not in stock and we will have to get it on Tuesday. We had tacos for dinner and Im going to scrapbook/do laundry the rest of the night.

I don't know what happened to my earlier post...I think the blog gremlins took it. So as I was saying...today is the hubbys birthday. We have been busy trying to make it a memorable day. We decorated, got balloons, ice cream and a cake. We have both been on a diet so he wanted to splerge for his birthday and decided to get probably the worst kind of cake...Red Velvet Cake...boy its 600 calories per slice! Thank god I got the lite ice cream... ;)

Busy day

So today is the hubbys birthday...I had quite an experience at Fred Meyers trying to get him some balloons. I can't believe the lack of customer service these days. Well anyways...we are on a diet so we decided to splerge and get probably one of the worst kinds of cakes...Red Velvet Cake. I had a pretty good NSD. Bought a couple of new kits and completed some pages.

K! That's my favorite color!

That is what my 3 year old told me yesterday as we typed her name in an email to her Grammie. She said it with such conviction I, believed that K was her favorite color. I have decided that she knows what she's talkin' about and that will be my new motto: K! That's my favorite color! It suits my life right now :) Im very excited about National Scrapbooking Day this Saturday. I hope I can get a lot of pages done. Well I must be getting to bed...I just wanted to share Katies favorite "color" :)

Home Sweet Home...

So after spending 6 days in beautiful Seattle we are finally home. This is our 3rd trip to see an eye doctor for Katies lazy eye. All is well and her vision has improved by 30 points going from 20/100 to 20/70. Katie went to her first movie "Horton Hears a Who" she was very good and I look forward to bringing her to her next movie. We were trying todecide what to do one day so we asked Katie what she would like to do and she said "umm...SHOPPING!" Only 3 and she already into shopping. On the home front Ben got to go swimming with his cub scout pack and went on a field trip to the Eagle River Nature Center. He has about a month left of school and it will be summer vacation...where did the time go? During our vaction I decided to take a Weight Watchers vaction and didnt keep track of points...of course I didnt loose any weight but so far it didn't seem to cause any long term damage either :) Well I go back to work Friday...yuck! I wonder what excitement I missed while I was gone. At least Vanessa's back!

Dry spell

I haven't really been up to scrapbooking lately. I guess I hit a dry spell. I did one tonight though. I have been really trying to get my moms birthday present done. I guess it will end up being a birthday/mothers day gift. Heres the layout I did tonight. Maybe I have some more in me...we will see :)

In the beginning....

So I thought I'd join everyone else and start up a blog. We will see how I keep up with it. So with that this is my test post. After about a month of melting (mostly into our basement) we get a nice dump of snow...WHAT! It needs to end and be spring.
